What is the Australasian Safari Rally?
As part of the Australian Safari adventure competitors will traverse outback roads and tracks via a route that takes in a great variety of geographical challenges. The inclusion of varying vehicles types, participating in either a competitive or touring element, allows for a spectacle quite like no other in Western Australia’s amazing Outback. Logistically these type of events require alot more planning than a typical concert or function as the events are in locations where additional equipment is not readily available. No hardware stores or suppliers are readily accessible so all possible scenarios must be thought out carefully and enough equipment must be taken to work through all possible problems that may occur. Including the bare essentials of making sure we have enough toilet paper for the event! The Australian Safari, with its long history of competition throughout Australia and more recently Western Australia, is modernising to reflect our aims and targets to place this event at the forefront of motorsport competition within the region.
Instant Toilets & Showers provided toilet and shower facilities for approximately 500 competitors and support crew over the 10 day event, with the event moving daily. Remote area events are difficult events to cater for for a number of reasons. Issues that had to be considered were,
With any event where the guests are camping the facilities must be well maintained and operational non-stop as the facilities we provide are typically the only toilets and showers available at a given location. Careful planning is required to ensure that they remain operational throughout the day/night and to also ensure that a high standard of cleanliness is maintained.
